(Photo: Saeed Khan / AFP-Getty via the Wall Street Journal) Right, I’m not really all that into racing or anything, I think Formula One is probably the most boring, overrated and overpaid sports out there and quite frankly I don’t think the world would be any different were it not there, except that maybe people wouldn’t harbour such unnecessary fascinations with cars like they’re good for anything other than fucking driving you from point A to point B. Woah, that got off topic. Anyway, I don’t really like racing all that much as a sport, but Moto GP is pretty fucking good. It’s genuinely pretty exciting and very rarely does it descend into the bullshit procession that Formula One is. Plus, races are normally pretty short in comparison. But I think when you watch it on telly you don’t really get a proper grasp of just how far they have to fucking lean to get those bikes round corners. Even if you don’t like the sport it’s pretty impressive. To be going that fast and practically lying down on the tarmac, and then to be able to right it again and speed away. It’s more impressive than driving a fucking car around for a few hours. Anyway, this sort of turned into a bit of a rant at Formula One, but fuck those guys, and I saw this picture and I liked it and Moto GP is probably the only form of racing that’s actually any good. So there that is.
